12th February 2026, we understand that Jones Homes will be submitting revised plans.  A new GoFundMe campaign has been launched to raise funds to have them professional reviewed and representation prepared.

21st November 2025, the LLFA, Cheshire East’s Lead Local Flood Authority issue a FORMAL OBJECTION to the application because there is no detailed or suitable sustaintable water managerment scheme as required by the National Srandards.  View their representation.

21st November 2025, Manchester Airport REJECTS the proposal as it stands on the basis that it has safety concerns about the development – “may cause a hazard to aviation”.  View their representation.

17th November 2025, United Utilities REJECTS the proposal as it stands on the basis that the drainage strategy is not acceptable.  View their representation.

11th November 2025, Housing Officer REJECTS the proposal as it stands on the basis that the integration / layout of the affordable units. View their representation.

10th Novembver 2025, Wilmslow Town Council vote unanimously to REFUSE the application.

5th November 2025, The Environment Agency recommend REFUSAL on the grounds that their Flood Risk Assessment (FRA) is inadequate.  View their representation.

30th October 2025, Jones Homes submitted a full planning application.

18th March 2025, Jones Homes submitted a request to Cheshire East Council (CEC) to AVOID having to perform an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA). This can be viewed on the CEC Planning Portal (# 25/1075/EIA).

The Protect Butterfly Bank committee and the community responded spectacularly, in a very short space of time, resulting in an excess of 160 objections being filed on the CEC Planning Portal.

Wilmslow Town Council (WTC) discussed the EIA application at one of their meetings on Monday 2nd June, where this committee represented the community group to present to WTC why we believe Jones Homes must not be allowed to proceed without performing a full EIA.

The conclusion of the discussion was that WTC agreed unanimously with us that CEC should issue a negative screen opinion such that Jones Homes must perform a full EIA.
